The Cymru Alliance league has once again this season given Penrhyn a number of ridiculous fixtures in their quest to complete the programme. Tomorrow they face Holyhead away in what is commonly known as one of the busiest times of the year on the road. The 200 mile round trip will see the team leave at 10 0′clock in order to meet the 3pm kick off. Then on wednesday they travel up to Llandyrnog to play and once again have to leave early, many players who work are unable to get time off. The league haven’t given the club a match on Easter monday, why?, probably because teams would refuse to come down and play, yet we have to travel twice in 5 days in the middle of the Easter holidays. Penrhyn also have to play Guilsfield away in mid week before the end of the season and surprise, surprise there isn’t a single mid week match at home from now until the end of the campaign. In previous years we have had to travel to Mold, Buckley(twice), Llanfairpwll and Llandyrnog and not to mention our local derby’s of Bala and Guilsfiled, yet not one of these teams out side the range of Bala and Guilsfield have come down in mid week to play us.  We are being treated like second rate citizens by the league and are punished by our geographical position and it would be interesting to hear the views of the CA about this matter.
